Abstract Landscapes
For me exploring the intuitive process of abstract artwork in relation to landscapes is compulsive and rewarding. Allowing myself to step back from planning an outcome is the biggest challenge - yet the most rewarding when I can allow it to happen. I'm painting all the time because I love to paint!
Colour blending is of particular interest to me, I like to change my palette often. I find vibrancy of hue, textural experiments and getting lost in the process really engaging. In contrast whenever I feel stuck in my work or in need of more 'order' and certainty I enjoy print making, particularly screens & Lino. The two are very different ways of working but for me complimentary and enabling. Anything creative, that keeps my mind fresh and my soul feeling inspired are all that matter.
